This Dobro style lap steel instrument has a 24.9" scale with a spider bridge and inverted cone. The strings are .16" through .056" Elixirs.
The string spacing is 7/16" at both the bridge and the nut with a nut width of 2.5" for ease of playing.
The box body is made from 3/16" edge grain Bolivian Rosewood, box jointed at the corners with dimensions of 4" x 12" x 19" making a deep, high volume instrument with an outstanding bass line.
The 3 piece Bolivian Rosewood neck is the full length of the instrument. The rectangular integral dowel stick runs through a reinforced body entry to a slotted pressure block at the tailpiece and is secured with string tension and a single tail screw.
The Nigerian ebony fretboard is inlaid with 1/8" brass flush frets and MOP dot position markers. The tuners are Gotoh high ratio ( 21:1) sealed guitar tuners. The pickup is a Lace square neck Dobro sensor.
The instrument is finished glass smooth with two coats of tung oil sealer hand rubbed to a glow.
